Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (3 day course) £295.00
This comprehensive three-day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way.
In addition, this course will include any protocol changes that may have arisen since their last training course.
This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Requalification (2 day course) £195.00
This two-day First Aid course is recommended for those who want to renew their First Aid at Work certificate. The course will keep you up-to-date with the First Aid procedures and techniques.
The important thing to remember is that as soon as the certificate expires, the First Aider is no longer considered competent to act as a First Aider in the workplace which may well leave the employer with a shortfall of First Aiders. Therefore, it would be prudent to arrange their First Aid at Work Requalification before they expire.
Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day course) £135.00
Where an organisation’s risk assessment of First Aid identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this national Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid – the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.
This is a one day course that teaches basic life-saving techniques that will help you to deal with emergency situations until professional help arrives.
Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatrics First Aid (1 day course) £135.00
This one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course has been designed for those who have an interest in child and infant basic life support.
If you have a professional interest, i.e. you are a child-minder or school teacher, etc, then this course partly fulfills the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage require you to have 12 hours of paediatric first aid training, so the 2-Day Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid would be required to fulfil their requirements.
This 6 hour qualification also makes up the first half of the 12-hour course.
Level 3 Award in Paediatrics First Aid (2 day course) £195.00
This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care.
It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and infants, who wish to gain a nationally accredited Level 3 Award.
This two-day course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. In order to obtain this qualification, you must attend both days and complete the two units of accreditation.
Level 3 Award in Activity First Aid (2 day course) £195.00
This Level 2 qualification is made up of two units including First Aid Essentials. It is specifically designed for those who are involved in any form of activity, including sports, leisure and recreation.
Not only is Basic Life Support included, but many other First Aid conditions are also covered, making the full qualification very comprehensive.
Unit 1, (or day 1) of this qualification contains and covers the learning outcomes of the level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, so those who wish to gain the level 2 award in EFAW are able to sit day 1 of this qualification.
This 2-day course will give you the knowledge and skill to manage a wide range of emergency First Aid situations like unresponsive casualty, head and spinal injuries, abdominal injuries, CPR and choking.
Level 2 Award in First Aid Risk Assessments (1 day course) £135.00
The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and trained personnel, to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work.
What is ‘adequate and appropriate’ will depend on the circumstances in the workplace. This includes whether trained First Aiders are needed, what should be included in a First Aid box and if a First Aid room is required.
In order to produce a Risk Assessment of First Aid Needs, consideration of workplace hazards and risks, the size of the organisation and other relevant factors need to be taken into account in order to determine what First Aid equipment, facilities and trained personnel should be provided.
This course will provide detailed information about the considerations and relevant factors in order to determine the needs and requirements and to ultimately produce a Risk Assessment of First Aid Needs for the business.
This 1-day course will give you details of a First Aid box and things that are needed in a First Aid room. This will ensure your employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work.
Level 2 Award in CPR and AED (1 day course) £135.00
Level 2 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) courses will help you understand and use a defibrillator in an emergency situation. It will also teach you to deal with resuscitation and choking procedures.
Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places. A casualty’s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it.
Level 3 Award in Oxygen Therapy Administration (1 day course) £135.00
This training enables users to administer oxygen safely and effectively, for casualties with breathing difficulties.
Delegates will learn how and when to administer oxygen to a casualty and the safety concerns with carrying, storing and administering it.
This course consists of practical and theoretical sessions that will enable you to administer oxygen safely and effectively. The course is recommended for first aiders, emergency first aiders, dental practitioners and other healthcare professionals.
Level 3 Award in Immediate Anaphylaxis Management (1 day course) £135.00
This one day course will teach you to recognise and manage a person experiencing an acute anaphylaxis episode. This course is recommended for all first aiders and healthcare professionals.
An Anaphylactic shock, or anaphylaxis, is a life-threatening, serious allergic reaction to an allergen such as food substances or insect stings. If it is not treated appropriately, it may cause death. This training is for qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders to enable them to recognise and treat anaphylaxis safely and effectively.
When administering a medication, it is important to recognise and differentiate between allergic reactions and the potentially life-threatening anaphylactic reactions immediately. It is also essential to determine whether the individual has had an allergic or anaphylactic response to the medication in the past or prior to administration.
This course is suitable for all First Aiders and healthcare professionals, as well as those in a high risk environment where such medication is available.
First Aid Emergency Response (Half day) £75.00
The Emergency Response course is a short course in Basic Life Support and is ideal for those looking to gain basic first aid knowledge and skills.
The aim of the course is to enable all students to deal with an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally, and how to deal with an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally.
This course will teach you the skills to give adult, child and infant CPR along with First Aid skills. This course is designed to meet national and international compliance standards for CPR.
Annual Refreshers (Half day) £75.00
If you have taken up any of the courses then it is important to take the refreshers that will enable you to keep up with the latest trends in First Aid. At London’s Insight First Aid Training, we provide annual refresher training courses.
Although it is not mandatory, the HSE strongly recommend that HSE qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders undertake an first aid annual refresher course in order to keep their skills up-to-date and refreshed.
The qualification period for both groups of First Aiders is 3-years. It was felt that this period was too long without any additional training.
